Artemether Lumefantrine Tablet are anti-malaria medications that interfere with the growth of parasites in the red blood cells of the human body. Malaria is caused by parasites that enter the body through the bite of a mosquito. Malaria is common in areas such as Africa, South America, and Southern Asia. Artemether Lumefantrine Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat non-severe malaria. This medication is used only to treat malaria. Do not use artemether and lumefantrine to prevent malaria. Artemether Lumefantrine Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Artemether lumefantrine tablets belongs to a group of drugs called antimalarial agents.  Artemether and lumefantrine tablets may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. This medication is used to kill the malaria parasites living inside red blood cells. In some cases, you may need to take a different medication (such as primaquine) to kill the malaria parasites living in the liver.
